Tell us exactly what needs attention

Choose the category, identify the affected page when applicable, and include the best primary source you have. A submission is a lead, not proof; record corrections are independently checked against the controlling official source.

Record correctionFigures, dates, status, identity, or source links that disagree with an official record.
Headline or outletA headline attached to the wrong file, or a verified publisher requesting feed removal.
PaymentA private-test or future payment, refund, duplicate charge, cancellation, or receipt question.
PrivacyQuestions or requests concerning information submitted to Vote Files.

Do not send passwords, payment-card or bank details, government ID numbers, medical information, or sealed or victim-identifying material. Public payments are currently closed.

Three questions we always get

Where does the data come from?

Official government records only: the roll-call journals of the House and Senate as compiled by Voteview (UCLA), joined with the congress-legislators biographical dataset. Each measure's file links its official record on Congress.gov, the House Clerk, Senate.gov, or GovInfo. See the sources page.

Are you partisan?

No. The site shows votes and never takes sides. If a page ever reads like it has an opinion, that is a bug; report it.

Is my support tax-deductible?

No. The Vote Files is an independent project, not a registered charity. If that changes, this page will say so plainly.
