  • County canvass deadline: Monday, November 9, 2026, 8-10 a.m. (default); may be postponed by county election officer to any business day not later than Monday, November 16, 2026 (13 days after election).   • State certification deadline: Not later than Tuesday, December 1, 2026. (K.S.A. 25-3206; K.S.A. 25-3211(c): official text) The statute: “not later than December 1 next following the election, except when the date falls on Sunday, then not later than the following day” Source checked Sep 25, 2026.
  • Recount request deadline: 5:00 p.m. on the day following the last meeting of the county board of canvassers (5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026 under default timing). No-bond recount right when margin is 0.5% or less of total votes cast..   • Election contest filing deadline: Within 5 days after the certificate of election is issued.   • Mail and military ballot receipt and cure deadlines: 7:00 p.m. on Election Day (Tuesday, November 3, 2026).
