Commonwealth 11/03/2000 Since the evidence established that defendant killed his baby son, and the jury was entitled to infer from those acts that the killing, although unintended, was the direct result of negligence accompanied by carelessness so gross, wanton, and culpable that it showed a callous disregard for the baby's life, the judgment of the Court of Appeals affirming the circuit court's finding of manslaughter is affirmed.
