County canvass deadline: 2026-11-07. (S.C. Code § 7-17-20: official text) The statute: “canvass the votes of the county and make such statements of such votes as the nature of the election shall require no later than noon on the Saturday next following the election” Source checked Sep 25, 2026.
State certification deadline: 2026-11-13. (S.C. Code § 7-17-220: official text) The statute: “shall convene a meeting scheduled through the office of the Election Commission within ten days after any general election” Source checked Sep 25, 2026.
Recount request deadline: Set by rule, not a fixed date. The statute: “the difference between the number of votes received by a candidate ... and the number of votes received by any other candidate ... shall be not more than one percent of the total votes which were cast for such office ... the committee or board ... shall order a recount ... forthwith unless such other candidate or candidates shall waive a recount in writing” (S.C. Election contest filing deadline: 2026-11-18. (S.C. Ballot receipt and cure deadlines: 2026-11-03 (general); 2026-11-06 (UOCAVA). (S.C.
